Picture of Elia Abi-Jaoude

Dr. Abi-Jaoude is Medical Director of the Ambulatory Psychiatry Program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where he also leads the Provincial Pediatric Tics and Tourette Clinic. He also works at the Tourette Syndrome Neurodevelopmental Clinic at the Toronto Western Hospital. His clinical and academic focus is in developmental neuropsychiatry, with a particular interest in critically examining foundational concepts in psychiatry and how knowledge is developed and shared.

Host:

Paula-Riitta Huttunen is a trained Expert by Experience with lived experience of Tourette Syndrome. She is one of the founding members and a Board member of Tics and Tourette Across the Globe (TTAG), and also serves on the Board of the Finnish Tourette and OCD Association (STOy). Paula-Riitta has facilitated peer support groups for people with Tourette and/or OCD and their loved ones.
