Are you part of a Tourette Syndrome (TS) association in Europe? Looking for a meaningful and memorable opportunity for the young people you support? You are invited to become part of an Erasmus+ funded international summer camp project that brings together youth with TS from across the continent for a life-changing experience of connection, growth, and fun.
What It’s All About
Each year, participating TS associations send 2 group leaders and 6–8 participants to a host country for a week-long summer camp alongside groups from other European countries. It’s a week filled with shared understanding, cultural exchange, and lasting friendships – all in a supportive environment tailored to the needs of young people with TS.
Thanks to Erasmus+ funding, travel, accommodation, and activities are fully or mostly covered, making it accessible and affordable for all involved.
Previous locations
Since the project began in 2018, the camps have been held in:
- 🇫🇮 Finland (2018, 2022)
- 🇳🇱 The Netherlands (2019)
- 🇳🇴 Norway (2023)
- 🇩🇪 Germany (2024)
Every camp is organized in close collaboration with the participating associations. Group leaders are selected by their own associations, and camps always include trained support staff (such as a nurse and psychologist) to ensure everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.
Looking Ahead
In 2025, the summer camp will take a short break to focus on strengthening the program. Instead of a camp, there will be a training seminar for current and aspiring group leaders – an exciting opportunity to build leadership skills, share best practices, and prepare for future editions.
The next Tourette Summer Camp is already on the horizon for summer 2026, and the organizers can’t wait to welcome new and returning groups into the experience.
