🗓️ Tourette Awareness Month is coming – May 15 to June 15
📣Raise your voice for Tourette awareness!
Tics and Tourette Across the Globe (TTAG) is preparing a global social media campaign for International Tourette Awareness Month, and we’re inviting you to take part.
As part of our #GetToKnowMe campaign, we’re collecting short personal video messages from individuals with lived experience of Tourette Syndrome. These videos will be shared throughout the awareness month to increase understanding and show the world who we really are — beyond the tics.
🎥 How to participate?
We are looking for 20-second vertical videos with the following structure:
- Start with: “I have Tourette and…” (share a passion, skill, or aspiration)
- End with: “GET TO KNOW ME!”
- Record in your everyday setting (film in your usual environment, showcasing your
daily life) - Hold your phone upright (vertical format) and speak to the camera
- Use your native or most comfortable language

Submitted videos will be featured progressively on our social media platforms between 15.5 – 15.6.2025.
‼️IMPORTANT: consent and supervision for minors
If you are under 18 or are submitting a video on behalf of a minor, please note:
- Parental or Guardian Consent:
- In many countries, individuals under 18 require consent from a parent or legal guardian for participation in activities involving the sharing of personal images or information online.
- Adult Supervision:
- It is recommended that minors are accompanied by a responsible adult during the video recording process.
These measures are designed to protect the rights and privacy of minors, in accordance with international best practices for involving children and adolescents in digital content creation.
