Andrea Bonzini has a 27-year-old daughter with Tourette Syndrome.
Since she was 9 years old, she has been working to raise awareness about Tourette Syndrome in Argentina and throughout Latin America. For many years, she has tried to establish a legally recognized association but was unable to do so due to financial constraints.
She has been spreading information through newspaper articles, TV programs, and awareness events aimed at educating about Tourette Syndrome. These events are directed at healthcare and education professionals, students in related fields, as well as the families of children and/or adults affected by the syndrome.
She has a Facebook page with over 54,000 followers from across Latin America. Most of the followers are families who share their experiences with their children in schools, which are often not positive due to a lack of information.
Andrea has helped many families along the way. Her goal is for children to go through their school years with a smile, enjoying their time rather than suffering due to misinformation.
