Sabina Mrlak is a communications professional with experience in media, public relations, and public awareness initiatives. With an academic background in sociology and community social work, she brings an understanding of both communication and community needs to her role as TTAG’s volunteer Ambassador for Slovenia.
Sabina joined the TTAG Ambassador Programme to help raise awareness and improve understanding of Tourette syndrome in Slovenia. Her focus is on sharing reliable, evidence-based information, challenging stereotypes and stigma, and highlighting the diverse experiences of people living with Tourette syndrome.
| She believes that awareness is most valuable when it leads to understanding and practical support. Early recognition, access to appropriate support, and collaboration with professionals are central to her vision of improving quality of life for people with Tourette syndrome and their families. Through her work with TTAG, Sabina hopes to contribute to a better-informed and more inclusive society – one in which people with Tourette syndrome feel understood and supported, and neurodiversity is met with greater acceptance. |
